Installation Requirements

Commissioning: Open the upstream valve slowly while venting through a downstream outlet. Confirm stable flow indication, normal accumulation and leak-free connections.

  • Flush the pipeline thoroughly before installation to remove silt, welding residue and other debris.
  • Install shutoff valves upstream and downstream; follow the flow-direction arrow on the meter body.
  • Standard straight-pipe condition: upstream ≥ 5DN and downstream ≥ 2DN.
  • Where an upstream elbow, tee or valve disturbs the flow: upstream ≥ 10DN.
  • Keep the meter horizontal or vertical as specified; do not install it at an angle.
  • Maintain at least 1 m from magnets, transformers and other strong magnetic-field sources.
  • Allow at least 30 cm of operating space for reading and maintenance.

Customer FAQ

How does prepaid recharge work?

The customer enters a secure 20-digit STS TOKEN. Once accepted, the credit is added and the valve can reopen automatically after a valid recharge.

What happens when the balance is exhausted?

The meter can issue a low-balance warning and automatically close the motorized valve when the available credit reaches the configured limit.

Can the XT815-M be read remotely?

Yes. Depending on the selected configuration, 4G, LoRa or LoRaWAN can be used for remote reading, parameter configuration and reporting.

What should be checked when a magnetic-interference alarm appears?

Remove the nearby magnetic source first, then restore the valve using the authorized error-clearing TOKEN according to the project procedure.
