The ultrasonic water meter is a high-accuracy electronic flow meter leveraging the ultrasonic time-of-flight principle. It determines flow velocity by measuring the propagation time disparity of ultrasonic waves in the fluid. Contrasting with conventional mechanical water meters, its notable advantages include: absence of moving mechanical components, broad turndown ratio, negligible pressure drop, superior precision, and extended operational life. 製品構造と作業原則

(1) Structural Elements

  • Ultrasonic Transducers: One or multiple transducer pairs for emitting and receiving ultrasonic waves.
  • Flow Measurement Tube: Unobstructed straight-through design (negligible pressure drop).
  • Electronics Module: Performs signal processing, flow computation, data storage, and communication.
  • Display Unit: LCD screen displays flow rate, cumulative usage, alarm messages, etc.

(2) Operational Principle

Measures the time delay (ΔT) of ultrasonic wave transmission in downstream and upstream paths, then computes flow velocity and volume using pipe cross-sectional area:

(K = calibration factor; A = pipe cross-sectional area)
